The population is very diverse here. Today's Krasnoyarsk people are settlers from the southwestern part of Russia - Belorussians, Ukrainians, Poles, Tatars, and also the settlers of the South Asian countries - Tajiks, Kirghiz, Azerbaijanis, Estonians, Armenians and Chinese. Since the city is being actively built and there is a lot of manufacture, people go here to look for a job.
Krasnoyarsk is one of the largest shopping centers in Siberia. A trade agreement was signed between the Krasnoyarsk administration and China. A "Chinese Trading City" is an official shopping center of the Chinese goods and production in Krasnoyarsk. The Chinese are engaged in agricultural development in the neiborhood of Krasnoyarsk and, as a result, a large number of inexpensive vegetables can be found in the local markets.
